Brazil have been forced to withdraw Leandro Damiao from their Confederations Cup squad after the forward picked up an injury in training yesterday.
Damiao suffered a thigh strain preparing for this weekend's friendly with France, with the 23-year-old officially ruled out of Luiz Felipe Scolari's plans by a statement from the national side this evening.
The short CBF statement on their official website read: "The scan [on Damiao] found a grade two muscle strain in his right thigh, which requires an estimated period of recovery of three weeks."
Atletico Mineiro and former Manchester City forward Jo has been quickly called up to replace Damiao, with Fred and Neymar remaining Brazil's most likely attacking options.
A whole host of European sides reportedly tracking Damiao will now miss out on the chance to watch the forward, with Tottenham Hotspur still strongly linked with the Internacional marksman after 18 months of transfer speculation.
