Hull City hit back to force replay against Brighton & Hove Albion

Hull City force an FA Cup replay with Brighton & Hove Albion as the sides draw 1-1 at the Falmer Stadium.

Yannick Sagbo's late goal has earned Hull City an FA Cup fifth-round replay against Brighton & Hove Albion, as the Tigers came from behind to draw 1-1 at the Falmer Stadium this evening.

Stephen Quinn went close for Hull early on, as he headed wide having been picked out by Ahmed Elmohamady's cross.

Jake Forster-Caskey should have put the hosts ahead when he was found by Inigo Calderon, but he sent his shot over the crossbar.

Elmohamady looked threatening again as he sent in a cross for Yannick Sagbo, who caught the ball perfectly only to see his right-footed effort cannon back off the bar.

Albion made Hull pay in the 30th minute as Will Buckley broke away on the counter, leaving the winger to feed Ulloa, who neatly converted with his right from the centre of the box.

Hull thought they had responded not too long after the goal, but Curtis Davies smashed his header against the crossbar, leaving Brighton to hold the advantage at half time.

The visitors worked the ball neatly after the break, leaving Jake Livermore to let off a right footed-shot, which was blocked on its way to goal.

Solly March played in Calderon as Brighton sought to increase their lead, but he blasted over the bar from just inside the box.

Hull pulled level with just five minutes to play as Sagbo got on the end of Sone Aluko's cross, before controlling the ball and finishing neatly to earn his side a replay.
