Half-Time Report: Bolton Wanderers, Brighton & Hove Albion play out goalless first half

Bolton Wanderers and Brighton & Hove Albion remain at 0-0 at half time of their Championship clash.

Bolton Wanderers and Brighton & Hove Albion are goalless at half time, after an opening period that consisted of very few chances.

The home side made a bright start and they almost took an early lead, but Neil Danns's volley at the back post was kept out by David Stockdale.

Brighton's Sam Baldock then almost put the Seagulls ahead, as a quick break down the left-hand side saw Craig Mackail-Smith set up Baldock, but his volley was well kept out by Ben Amos.

Both teams struggled to create much for the next 20 minutes, until David Wheater came within inches of giving Bolton the lead, as his header from a Barry Bannan free kick missed at the near post.

Bolton controlled much of the half, but they couldn't get through a stubborn Brighton defence.
