Craig Mackail-Smith's late first-half goal has cancelled out a header from Matt Mills to leave Brighton & Hove Albion drawing 1-1 with Bolton Wanderers at half time in the Championship this afternoon.
Albion's Andrew Crofts looked inventive in the opening minutes and he soon found Bruno on the edge of the area, who saw his long-range effort drift just wide of goal.
The hosts came close again minutes later when Jake Forster-Caskey let fly from way out, only to see his attempt saved by a sprawling Adam Bogdan in the top left corner.
Bolton winger Lee Chung-yong should have taken advantage of a lapse in defending as he found himself with the ball inside the box, but he could only flash his effort high and wide of goal.
In a first half that swung from end to end, Brighton then had the chance to go in front as Crofts struck straight at Bogdan following some incisive play from Bruno.
The visitors capitalised on the miss in the 25th minute, as Mills rose to meet Jay Spearing's cross and head past a helpless David Stockdale to make it 1-0.
Brighton could have pulled level before the break when Forster-Caskey crossed for Gordon Greer, who headed over the bar from the six-yard box.
The miss was not to matter too much, however, as Mackail-Smith tapped home from Inigo Calderon's pass to brings things level at 1-1 going into the interval.
