Brighton & Hove Albion boss Gus Poyet is adamant that his side "won't give up" on reaching the Championship playoffs this season.

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Gus Poyet is adamant that he and his side "won't give up" in their pursuit of a playoff place.

The Seagulls drew 1-1 with Blackburn at the Amex Stadium as a Vicente penalty earned Poyet's side a point in their quest for promotion to the Premier League.

"In terms of technical ability, speed and precision we were absolutely spectacular," Poyet told reporters.

"We'll try for the playoffs and won't give up. The players want it and the club wants it."

Brighton are currently seventh in the Championship, four points behind Middlesbrough who occupy the last playoff place.
