Burnley have reportedly placed Troy Deeney high on a list of transfer targets ahead of their return to the Premier League.
Deeney has once again impressed in the Championship by scoring 23 goals for Watford, and his form is believed to be catching the eye of his former manager.
Dyche, who worked with Deeney during his time at Vicarage Road, is keen to sign the 25-year-old to strengthen his attacking options, according to the Daily Mail.
Burnley are expected to be without striker Sam Vokes for the first half of next season as he continues his recovery after rupturing his cruciate ligament, meaning that Dyche's need for a goalscorer is a priority.
Deeney scored as Watford were beaten 3-1 by Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night.
