Cambridge United oust Bury at the Abbey Stadium

A brace from Luke Berry helps Cambridge United defeat Bury in tonight's FA Cup first-round replay at the Abbey Stadium.

Non-league Cambridge United have booked their place in the second round of the FA Cup by beating League Two side Bury in tonight's replay at the Abbey Stadium.

After a tight first half ended goalless, it was the hosts who eventually broke through on the hour mark when Harrison Dunk supplied Luke Berry.

However, the visitors responded almost immediately thanks to Shaun Harrad, who headed home from Andrew Proctor's cross.

The tie was decided as Berry notched his second of the evening when Bury failed to clear Richard Tait's corner with three minutes remaining.

The Conference leaders will now face Sheffield United at home on Sunday.
