Aron Gunnarsson replaces Jordon Mutch for Cardiff City as the league leaders welcome Millwall to the Welsh capital.

Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has rewarded Aron Gunnarsson for his goal against Crystal Palace by promoting the midfielder to the starting lineup for the visit of Millwall.

Gunnarsson came off the bench to score the winner on Boxing Day and he replaces Jordon Mutch in midfield for the Championship leaders.

Adam Smith retains his place in the Millwall team after the club successfully appealed against the red card he was given in the defeat to Barnsley a week ago.

Despite reports suggesting that Andy Keogh may return to the squad following a toe injury, the striker remains on the sidelines for the Londoners.

Cardiff: Marshall, McNaughton, Hudson, Turner, Taylor, Conway, Whittingham, Gunnarsson, Noone, Gestede, Bellamy

Millwall: Forde, Shittu, Trotter, Henderson, Lowry, Henry, Beevers, N'Guessan, A. Smith, Abdou, Malone
