Dundee boss Paul Hartley tipped as frontrunner for Cardiff City job

Dundee boss Paul Hartley is said to be the early frontrunner to take over at Cardiff City as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer nears the sack.

Dundee boss Paul Hartley has been tipped as the early frontrunner to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Cardiff City.

The Norwegian is expected to leave the Bluebirds within the next 24 hours after holding crisis talks with the club earlier today.

Hartley is the favourite to take over from the former Manchester United striker, with Tony Pulis and Karl Robinson also in the frame, according to the Daily Mail.

Solskjaer was appointed by Cardiff in January when his predecessor Malky Mackay was sent packing after his relationship with owner Vincent Tan broke down.

Cardiff currently sit in 17th place in the Championship following last weekend's 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough.
