Celtic manager Neil Lennon insists that his side must improve their league form, despite winning last season's Scottish Premier League by 16 points.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has called on his side to become more consistent on the domestic front this season.

The Hoops won the Scottish Premier League by 16 points last season, but after losing seven matches during their title-winning campaign, Lennon has called on his team to perform on a more regular basis.

The 42-year-old told BBC Sport: "I would imagine that we'd be heavy favourites, but we have to improve on the domestic front from last year.

"We lost seven games last season. I want to improve upon that. There is room for improvement. I'd like to improve consistency."

Celtic begin their league campaign on Saturday with a home match against Ross County.
