Old Firm Derby gets the go-ahead

Tonight's Old Firm Derby between Celtic and Rangers will be played despite safety concerns caused by the weather.

Tonight's Old Firm Derby between Celtic and Rangers at Parkhead has been given the go-ahead despite concerns that the match may be postponed.

High winds had raised concerns over the safety of supporters travelling to and from the game.

However, after consultation with police Celtic have announced that the game will be played, with no serious risk to anybody's safety.

The adverse weather conditions did force Motherwell to postpone their encounter with Dunfermline.
