Scottish Premiership roundup: Celtic move clear at the top with narrow win at Ross County

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's Scottish Premiership action as Celtic move three points clear of Aberdeen at the top of the table with a 1-0 win at Ross County.

Celtic moved three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 1-0 win at bottom club Ross County, but victories for the chasing pack leaves them still under pressure.

Kris Commons's goal proved enough to see off the basement boys and move the Hoops ahead of second-placed Aberdeen with a game in hand.

However, Inverness Caledonian Thistle are just four points worse off than Celtic following their 2-0 win at Hamilton Academical, where an own goal by Grant Gillespie and a Nick Ross strike decided the outcome.

Dundee United are still in the mix in the upper reaches of the table thanks to a 3-1 win against Motherwell, with all four goals coming in the second period.

Charlie Telfer netted a brace for the Terrors either side of a Jaroslaw Fojut strike, while Simon Ramsden provided Motherwell's consolation.

Second-bottom St Mirren are still without a home win after crashing to a 2-1 defeat to Dundee. The hosts led through Kenny McLean's early strike, but goals from Gary Irvine and Iain Davidson turned the match on its head in the second half.

Meanwhile, Kilmarnock and Partick Thistle are both within touching distance of mid-table security after playing out a 2-2 draw.

Results in full: Ross County 0-1 Celtic, Dundee Utd 3-1 Motherwell, Hamilton 0-2 Inverness, Kilmarnock 2-2 Partick Thistle, St Mirren 1-2 Dundee
