Scottish Premiership roundup: Hearts remain top, Celtic win

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's action in the Scottish Premiership.

Hearts remain on top of the Scottish Premiership after a 3-0 win over Partick Thistle.

Osman Sow scored from close range on the half-hour mark before Sam Nicholson and Juanma added two more in the second half.

Celtic had earlier gone top of the table temporarily, after beating Dundee United 3-1 at Tannadice Park. Leigh Griffiths opened the scoring, before an own goal by Mark Durnan and a second-half strike from Callum McGregor. Chris Erskine had pulled a goal back for United, but Ronny Deila thought that Celtic should have scored more.

Kilmarnock's woes continued with a 4-0 loss to Ross County. All four goals were scored in the first 35 minutes to leave Killie rooted to the foot of the table.

St Johnstone picked up their first win of the season and rose to seventh in the process. Steven MacLean notched two goals after loanee Louis Moult had given Motherwell an early lead.

Strugglers Inverness Caledonian Thistle are yet to win this season, and their poor form continued against Hamilton Academical. Carlton Morris and Louis Longridge got the goals in a 2-0 win for Accies.

Finally, Adam Rooney scored a brace for Aberdeen as they beat Dundee.

Results in full: Dundee United 1-3 Celtic, Aberdeen 2-0 Dundee, Hearts 3-0 Partick Thistle, Inverness Caledonian Thistle 0-2 Hamilton Academical, Kilmarnock 0-4 Ross County, St Johnstone 2-1 Motherwell
