Cesena held Bologna to a goalless draw at the Dino Manuzzi this afternoon.
Despite being allowed the lion's share of possession, Bologna were unable to secure the breakthrough in the opening half of action.
Midfielder Gaston Ramirez found the target from distance inside the opening minute, but couldn't beat keeper Francesco Antonioli.
With almost 25 minutes on the clock, midfielder Nico Pulzetti went closest for the Bologna, but was again unable to beat Antonioli.
Pulzetti combined with Alessandro Diamanti to again go close for the visitors in the second half, before Diamanti later had a shot saved himself. Meanwhile, the hosts were restricted to a couple of shots from range in total.
