Preview: Charlton Athletic vs. Derby County

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship clash between struggling Charlton and in-form Derby at The Valley.

Derby County will look to keep up their promotion charge when they face struggling Charlton Athletic at The Valley on Saturday.

The Rams go into the match in a fine spell of form having won each of their last five matches, while they have only lost once since Steve McClaren took over at the club at the end of September.

A win could move the visitors one point within the top three, although that would depend on the result in the day's early kickoff between league leaders Burnley and third-placed Leicester City.

Derby will be without Paul Coutts once again and McClaren is expected to name an unchanged side despite Jeff Hendrick and Johnny Russell both pushing for starts.

Charlton, meanwhile, are perilously perched one place and two points above the relegation zone having picked up just four points from their last six games. Defeat could see them drop into the bottom three if Yeovil are able to beat Barnsley.

The Addicks are without the suspended Johnnie Jackson, while goalkeeper Ben Hamer and defender Leon Cort are both doubtful for the match.

Sports Mole says: 0-2
