Team News: Changes for Charlton Athletic after Francis Coquelin recall

Francis Coquelin's recall to Arsenal forces Charlton boss Bob Peeters into changes for the Championship visit of Blackpool, who recall captain Tony McMahon.

Charlton Athletic manager Bob Peeters has made two changes to his starting lineup for this afternoon's game against Blackpool at The Valley.

A change at the heart of midfield has been made necessary for the Addicks, with Arsenal recalling on-loan Frenchman Francis Coquelin yesterday thanks to an injury crisis at the Emirates Stadium.

Coquelin's place in the team has been taken by Belgian loanee Yoni Buyens, who has three goals in 20 appearances for Charlton so far this season.

Centre-back Joseph Gomez will also start the game, with captain Johnnie Jackson failing to overcome the injury that he suffered during last weekend's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

Lee Clark has made one change to the Blackpool team that registered victory over Birmingham City last time out.

Skipper Tony McMahon returns to the side after missing the win over Clark's former team, and replaces Stuart O'Keefe, who is among the subs.

Also on the bench is ex-Celtic defender Darren O'Dea, who will make his debut should he be brought on.

Charlton: Pope, Gomez, Fox, Ben Haim, Bikey, Gudmundsson, Buyens, Solly, Cousins, Harriott, Vetokele.
Subs: Etheridge, Wilson, Bulot, Onyewu, Tucudean, Pigott, Ahearne-Grant.

Blackpool: Lewis, Foley, Clarke, Nosworthy, Kennedy, McMahon, Perkins, O'Hara, Eagles, Murphy, Davies.
Subs: Parish, O'Dea, O'Keefe, Waddington, Delfouneso, Orlandi, Miller
