Charlton Athletic have reportedly turned down the opportunity to sign Jermaine Pennant.
The 32-year-old winger had been on trial with the Addicks after turning down a deal at Wigan Athletic.
According to South London Press, Pennant, who joined Charlton last month, will not be offered a contract by the Championship outfit.
Charlton were said to be in the market for a new winger, with Wolverhampton Wanderers man James Henry and Dagenham & Redbridge youngster Jodi Jones linked with moves to The Valley before the closure of the summer transfer window.
Pennant scored three goals in 13 appearances for Wigan last season.
