Didier Drogba doesn't want to think about previous tournament final defeats going into the Champions League final.

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has said that he does not want to dwell on previous tournament final heartache going into the Champions League final.

The Ivorian was sent off when the Blues were beaten on penalties by Manchester United in the same final back in 2008. He has also been on the losing side of two Africa Cup of Nations finals, but has won numerous FA Cups with the club and wants to draw on his memories of winning competitions going into Saturday's game.

"It's not good to speak about the past because we have a great moment here," he said," said Drogba.

"I could speak with you about Bayern Munich and the next Champions League final rather than speak about the other final.

"I've got a lot of disappointments but I've also got a lot of great moments in finals so I'm going to try to make sure that, for my teammates, this one is a great one."

Drogba scored what turned out to be the winning goal when Chelsea beat Liverpool 2-1 earlier this month to win the FA Cup final.
