Jose Mourinho expecting tougher Maribor test

Jose Mourinho believes that Chelsea's 6-0 win against Maribor a fortnight ago is a "fake situation", and warns that his side face a different test this evening.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has warned his side against complacency when they take on Maribor in the Champions League this evening.

The Blues were resounding 6-0 winners when the teams last met two weeks ago, although Mourinho is expecting a far tougher test against the Slovenian champions this time around.

"The 6-0 win is a fake situation," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. "Normally Chelsea to score goals needs a lot [of chances]. Everything went in our direction. The first opportunity we had was a goal, the second one a goal, and so on.

"I know they are a good team. I analysed them against Sporting and Schalke. I need to convince the players that the game at Stamford Bridge was one of these matches where everything goes in our direction."

Mourinho also insisted that he will not play a weakened team ahead of this weekend's Premier League meeting with Liverpool, despite Brendan Rodgers making seven changes to the Reds' starting lineup for the trip to face Real Madrid last night.

"I don't speak about Liverpool," the Portuguese added. "I speak about myself. If one day I go to a game and I don't feel I can win, maybe I don't go. Normally, against the most difficult opponents, normally I will try to go with my best team.'

Chelsea currently top the Group G standings with seven points from their first three games.
