Diego Simeone only concentrating on Chelsea tie

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone says that he is not thinking too much about what could be a record-breaking season.

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has insisted that he is not thinking too much about what could be a record-breaking season with the club, instead taking each match as it comes.

Atletico are on the cusp of winning the La Liga title this season, while they are potentially just 90 minutes away from the Champions League final.

"You all know me very well. I don't like to stop and think about what's happening, but keep working. The press can evaluate the progress the team has made," he told reporters.

"I think it's a game of football, there's a ball and the team that works best will win the match. I believe more in hard work and desire."

Atletico face Chelsea in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final this evening, with the two sides currently level at 0-0 from the first leg last week.
