Roberto Di Matteo targets fourth

Roberto Di Matteo insists that Chelsea's target is to finish fourth in the Premier League this season.

Chelsea interim boss Roberto Di Matteo has insisted that fourth spot is the club's focus following their 2-0 FA Cup win over Birmingham City on Tuesday.

Goals from Juan Mata and Raul Meireles secured the victory, but Di Matteo has revealed that they are desperate to secure Champions League football.

"We have to play Champions League next season. For us it's vital to finish fourth. That is the target. It's not about me. It's about these players, this club. The club is bigger than me," Di Matteo told Sky Sports News.

Chelsea face Stoke City in the Premier League on Saturday.
