An ankle injury could rule Ashley Cole out of Chelsea's FA Cup replay at Birmingham City tomorrow night.

Ashley Cole is an injury doubt for Roberto Di Matteo's first game in temporary charge of Chelsea tomorrow evening.

The England international is currently suffering with an ankle problem that he sustained during Chelsea's 1-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon.

As a result, Cole has been rated doubtful for the FA Cup replay trip to Birmingham City.

He will be assessed tomorrow morning, with a decision over availability likely to be made during the afternoon.

Ryan Bertrand is expected to deputise if Cole fails to make the tie.
