Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard will not face any criminal charges for kicking a ball boy during his side's League Cup semi-final second-leg clash against Swansea City.
The Belgium international was sent off after he appeared to kick the 17-year-old while trying to retrieve the ball from the youngster's clutches while he laid on the floor.
The South Wales police launched an investigation into the incident after receiving complaints but the case was swiftly dropped.
"The police have interviewed the boy and his father and there are no charges going to be pressed, as far as they are concerned that is the matter closed," The Express quotes a Swansea spokesman as saying.
Hazard apologised to the ball boy after the goalless draw, which ensured Swansea's place in the League Cup final following their 2-0 win in the first leg.
