Chelsea assistant manager Steve Holland has admitted that he was glad to avoid extra time in their League Cup clash with Championship outfit Bolton Wanderers.
The Blues progressed to the fourth round with a 2-1 win, courtesy of goals from Kurt Zouma and Oscar either side of a Matt Mills strike.
"It's nice not to have extra time. We don't have any new injuries, we've progressed to the next round of the competition," he told reporters.
"Several of our players who probably needed a game now have 90 minutes under their belts heading into two or three important fixtures. It's a good situation to be in."
Chelsea have been drawn against Shrewsbury Town in the next phase.
