Antonio Conte: 'Chelsea have a tendency to chop and change managers'

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte admits that he is aware of Chelsea's "chop and change" policy with managers, but insists that he is happy at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has admitted that he is aware of Chelsea's "chop and change" policy with managers, but insisted that he is happy at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian faces continued speculation over his future in West London as the Blues look certain to miss out on the Premier League crown following their title win last term.

Conte, who has said that he wants to stay at Chelsea, added that he "really likes" the pressure of being the club's manager.

"In our line of work, we always have a bag packed," the 48-year-old told Mediaset Premium. "My intention is to remain here, but if something were to change, there would be several different scenarios opening up.

"In 14 years, Chelsea have changed coach 10 times, so they do have a tendency to chop and change here. It's no problem for me, in fact I really like pressure. I just hope it doesn't affect the players.

"I said very clearly, I have a contract to 2019. I intend to respect it. After that, anything can happen in football. I am happy at Chelsea, but both parties need to be happy."

Chelsea drew 1-1 with Barcelona in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie on Tuesday evening.
