Eden Hazard says that Chelsea will head to Barcelona looking to attack following their 1-1 draw in the Champions League last night.

Eden Hazard has insisted that Chelsea will head to Spain next month trying to win following their 1-1 draw with Barcelona last night in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie.

The hosts went in front through Willian just after the hour mark at Stamford Bridge, but Lionel Messi soon restored parity for the visitors when he capitalised on an error from Andreas Christensen.

The result means that Ernesto Valverde's side will take a crucial away goal into the decisive leg at Camp Nou on March 14, but Hazard says that his side are more than capable of pulling off the win.

"At least we won't be able to think defensively in the second leg because if we think defensively over there we will be in a lot of danger," he told reporters last night.

"We will go there trying to win because we have to score and we will try for the perfect game as we did today except for the small error that we made. That's what made the difference because you're up against Barcelona.

"Against other teams, perhaps you get away without letting in a goal. We played well. We had a plan to defend well, Perhaps we could have done more with the ball when we had it. It's not over. We can still dream. Qualification is still possible."

Of Messi, who scored his first ever goal against the Blues, Hazard added: "We contained him well today. When he's outside the box he's less dangerous than in it. He had one touch in the box today and he scored. That's the difference he makes."

Chelsea last made it past the last-16 stage of the Champions League in the 2013-14 season, when they reached the semi-finals.
