Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte suggests that his side will be facing a new challenge when they play Manchester City on Saturday.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has called on his side to show that they are ready to take "another step" in their evolution from last season.

The Blues finished in mid-table during the last campaign but they currently head the Premier League table after registering seven successive wins in the top flight.

Conte takes his in-form side to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday as they look to remain ahead of their hosts, but the Italian has acknowledged that his players face a tough test against Pep Guardiola's team.

The 47-year-old told reporters: "City is a really great team with great players but we want to show we are working very well.

"Tomorrow is another step to show us if something is changing compared to the start of the season."

Chelsea require a point to stay ahead of City in the standings.
