Burnley boss Sean Dyche: 'Big gulf between our squad and Chelsea'

Burnley manager Sean Dyche says that there is a big gulf between his squad and today's opponents Chelsea's, but insists that anything can happen on the day.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has admitted that his side face a big "challenge" in taking on a side with as much strength and depth as Chelsea.

The newly-promoted side will face the Blues at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

Antonio Conte's men have a 100% record in the Premier League so far this season having won both of their opening games, while Burnley have lost one and won one.

The West London outfit also have a wealth of talent in their ranks, meaning that some players, including Cesc Fabregas, are struggling to get back into the starting XI.

"'Come on then, Cesc, get yourself warmed up' - it's not a bad position to be in! There lies the truth, or the gap, in the Premier League," the London Evening Standard quotes Dyche as saying.

"Out there playing, that means nothing - it's 11 players against you and you have to remind yourself of that, and the players do, they'll take on the responsibility of dealing with that.

"When you look at the players they've got and depth of squad, it's highly unlikely they won't be up among it, so that's a big challenge for us."

Burnley are ninth in the table after two games.
