Jose Mourinho: 'I understand frustration of players'

Chelsea manager Joe Mourinho says that he understands his players frustrations at being left out of the team.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said that he understands that many of his players are frustrated at being left out of the starting XI.

The Blues beat Arsenal 2-0 in midweek, but Mourinho has made nine changes from that side.

The Portuguese told BT Sport that his players must use their frustration as a catalyst to prove him wrong.

"At the moment the mentality is right and I understand some people who aren't playing are frustrated, but they must turn that frustration into the right mentality on the pitch," Mourinho said in the build-up to today's match at Newcastle.

"All of them are difficult decisions, because all of the boys against against Arsenal had a magnificent match, but every decision is a fair decision.

"The team is playing well. We had a fantastic October, but October is over and we have a very difficult match."

Chelsea face Newcastle United in this afternoon's early kickoff.
