Former Chelsea assistant Ray Wilkins says that he is interested in the vacant managerial position at Wolves.

Former Chelsea assistant Ray Wilkins has admitted that he is interested in the vacant managerial position at Wolves.

Wilkins, who has managed Queens Park Rangers and Fulham, left his post at Chelsea in 2010 and is understood to be keen on a move back into the game.

"I believe there has been a bit of name-searching for the Wolves job and it would be lovely," Wilkins told talkSPORT.

Reading boss Brian McDermott has emerged as the favourite for the position.
