Former France and Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane feels that Jose Mourinho has a "special relationship" with Chelsea.

Zinedine Zidane has spoken of the "special relationship" that Jose Mourinho enjoys with Chelsea and feels that the manager's return to the club is a good move for both parties.

Mourinho was confirmed as the new Blues boss last week and Zidane thinks that the former Real Madrid coach has done the right thing by going back to Stamford Bridge.

"Of course he has a special relationship with Chelsea and maybe he will feel more at home there than he did in Madrid," Zidane is quoted as saying in The Mirror.

"He has proved he is a coach full of quality – and I expect him to be very successful with Chelsea again. Jose still has confidence and I am sure he will do well."

The Portuguese coach is settling into his second stint at Stamford Bridge having previously joined in 2004 before leaving in September 2007 after winning back-to-back Premier League titles in 2005 and 2006.
