Lewis Hall and Joao Felix both start for Chelsea in Saturday's Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest.

Lewis Hall and Joao Felix have both been handed starts for Chelsea versus Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon.

Caretaker manager Frank Lampard acknowledged during his pre-match press conference that Hall was in line to replace the injured Ben Chilwell at left-back.

That is what has transpired with the 18-year-old one of five alterations made by Lampard after last weekend's 3-1 win at Bournemouth.

Felix is rewarded for his goal as a substitute in that game by taking the place of Kai Havertz, while fellow goalscorer Raheem Sterling is also preferred to Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Mateo Kovacic is recalled in central midfield, with N'Golo Kante not being selected in the squad, and goalkeeper Edouard Mendy comes back into the team for his first start since before the World Cup.

David Datro Fofana is handed a rare chance among the replacements with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang again not featuring in the 20-man squad.

Meanwhile, Forest boss Steve Cooper has seemingly switched to a back three, with centre-back Joe Worrall replacing forward Brennan Johnson.

That is the only change made to the Forest side which started Monday's 4-3 triumph over Southampton.

Chelsea: Mendy; Chalobah, Silva, Badiashile, Hall; Gallagher, Fernandez, Kovacic; Madueke, Felix, Sterling

Subs: Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, W. Fofana, Loftus-Cheek, Mudryk, Pulisic, Ziyech, D. Fofana, Havertz

Nottingham Forest: Navas; Worrall, Felipe, Niakhate; Aurier, Mangala, Yates, Danilo, Lodi; Gibbs-White, Awoniyi

Subs: Hennessey, Lingard, Toffolo, Surridge, Johnson, Kouyate, Freuler, Boly, Ayew
