Atletico Madrid unable to meet Fernando Torres wage demands?

Atletico Madrid are reportedly struggling to finance their proposed move for Chelsea's Fernando Torres as the striker is unwilling to take a pay cut.

Atletico Madrid will reportedly struggle to meet the wage demands of rumoured transfer target Fernando Torres.

The Chelsea striker has been linked with a return to the La Liga champions this summer, but is thought to be unwilling to take a pay cut.

According to the Daily Mail, the 30-year-old does not want to lower his estimated £8m salary to move back to the club, despite struggling to find a regular place in Jose Mourinho's starting lineup last season.

The report also claims that the Premier League side want around £20m for the striker, while Atletico have only offered £12.5m.
