Everton 'seek loan move for Christian Atsu'

Everton want to sign Chelsea winger Christian Atsu on a season-long loan deal to bolster their squad for their extra commitments in the Europa League next season.

Everton are reportedly interested in taking Chelsea winger Christian Atsu on loan for the 2014-15 season.

The Toffees have used the loan market well in recent years as Romelu Lukaku and Gerard Deulofeu shined in their spells at Goodison Park in the last campaign.

Roberto Martinez has set his sights on the 22-year-old who impressed with Ghana at the World Cup and is unlikely to feature in the first team with Jose Mourinho's side next season.

Everton may face competition from Aston Villa and Celtic for the signature of the winger, and a loan move for Atsu would leave them with only the possibility of signing Lukaku on a permanent deal, reports the Daily Mail.

Atsu spent last season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem.
