Brescia 'to increase asking price for Liverpool, Chelsea target Sandro Tonali'

Liverpool and Chelsea will reportedly have to pay over the odds if they are to sign in-demand midfielder Sandro Tonali from Brescia at the end of the season.

Brescia chief Massimo Cellino is reportedly prepared to play hardball with Liverpool and Chelsea when it comes to negotiating a deal for Sandro Tonali.

The 18-year-old midfielder is believed to be on the radar of the Premier League rivals after impressing in the second tier of Italian football this season.

Reports in Italy last month suggested that Liverpool had firmed up their interest in Tonali by making an official approach, but Brescia were eager to keep hold of their prized asset until the summer.

According to Calciomercato, ex-Leeds United owner Cellino is set to ask for a hefty fee from the Reds and Chelsea, however, with the player's valuation skyrocketing since being called up by the Italy senior side.

Brescia sit top of the Serie B table and are on course to return to the top tier of Italian football next season following an eight-year absence.

Tonali has played a key part in the Biancoazzurri's push for promotion, starting 20 of their 21 matches so far.
