Crystal Palace have confirmed that Chelsea have exercised their option to recall defender Trevoh Chalobah.
The 25-year-old joined Palace on a season-long loan deal in the summer after being deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
Chalobah has enjoyed regular playing time in Oliver Glasner's side, having started 12 Premier League matches during his stint with the Eagles.
However, earlier on Wednesday, it was reported that Chelsea were set to call time on Chalobah's loan spell at Selhurst Park.

Palace confirm Chalobah recall
The Eagles have now confirmed has been recalled to Chelsea, ensuring he will not feature in the Palace squad for Wednesday's Premier League meeting with Leicester City.
In a statement, Palace said: "Crystal Palace can confirm that Chelsea have activated an option to recall Trevoh Chalobah from his loan spell. The defender will return to Chelsea."
The Eagles went on to add: "Everyone at the club would like to thank Trevoh for his hard work and achievements in red and blue, and wish him the very best for his future."
Chalobah's departure leaves Glasner with Marc Guehi, Maxence Lacroix, Chadi Riad and Chris Richards as his main central defensive options.
Chelsea have been linked with a potential move for Guehi, but it appears they have opted to strengthen their backline with Chalobah's recall.

What next for Chalobah?
The Blues have taken the decision to recall Chalobah after seeing their central defensive options hit by injuries to Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana.
Axel Disasi also appears to be out of favour at Stamford Bridge, while Renato Veiga could depart on loan before next month's transfer deadline.
Chalobah is now set to compete with Levi Colwill, Tosin Adarabioyo and Josh Acheampong for a spot in Enzo Maresca's defence.
In theory, Chalobah could start when Chelsea take on relegation-threatened Wolverhampton Wanderers in Monday's Premier League fixture.
However, there is still some doubt surrounding his long-term future, with The Standard reporting that he could depart at the end of the season.
The report claims that Chelsea are open to selling Chalobah in the summer transfer window if it becomes clear that he wants to leave the club.
