Callum Wilson insists that he is "happy" at Bournemouth amid suggestions of interest from Chelsea.

Callum Wilson has insisted that he is "happy" at Bournemouth amid suggestions that Chelsea want to sign the England international in this summer's transfer window.

Chelsea are expected to move for a new forward at the end of the season and have been linked with Wilson, who has scored 12 Premier League goals for the Cherries this term.

The 27-year-old has admitted that he has aspirations of playing in the Champions League, but is currently 'focused' on his job at Bournemouth.

"I signed a long-term contract, I'm happy down there - I'm playing football," he told the Daily Star. I'm happiest when I'm on the pitch. I never want to go and sort of be somewhere that I'm not going to play.

"I never want to see myself not playing at Bournemouth even, being on the bench and things like that. Any player has aspirations to play for their country, like I've managed to do thankfully, and play in the Champions League - different big occasions and big stages.

"I've been linked (with big clubs) from a young age when I'm doing well - so I tend not to buy into it really. It can sway you off what you need to do and take away your focus."

Wilson has scored 56 times in 144 appearances for Bournemouth since a 2014 move from Coventry City.
