Chelsea have reportedly maintained that they are not prepared to offer a multi-year contract to David Luiz.
The defender is in his second spell at Stamford Bridge having rejoined Chelsea in 2016, and the Brazilian is currently regarded as first choice in the centre of Maurizio Sarri's backline.
Luiz has less than a year remaining on his contract with the Blues and is keen to extend his stay at the club, but according to The Mirror, the 31-year-old faces the prospect of an exit in the summer.
Chelsea have a set policy where they will not offer more than a one-year contract to anyone over the age of 30, and it has been claimed that there is no willingness to change that stance with Luiz.
The former Paris Saint-Germain player will be able to pen a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club as soon as January, providing that fresh terms are not agreed with Chelsea.
