Didier Drogba believes that goalkeeper Petr Cech should stay put at Chelsea because he is "more than welcome" at Stamford Bridge.
The shot-stopper, who has spent 11 years with the Blues, has dropped behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order.
The Czech is considering his future, but Drogba, who will leave the Premier League champions himself this summer, believes that the 33-year-old should stay for the remaining one year on his contract.
"I think the club should keep him because we know who Petr Cech is at this club," the London Evening Standard quotes Drogba as saying. "No matter what happens I think the club will respect his decision.
"If he wants to stay, he can stay. I think he is more than welcome here. If he wants to go, it's his choice as well. It's up to him, but we want him to stay."
With regards to Drogba's own future, the Ivorian has admitted that he is open to moving to the MLS in the United States, but has ruled out a switch to another Premier League club.
