Report: Didier Drogba rules out Premier League switch

Didier Drogba reveals that he will not switch champions Chelsea for another Premier League outfit.

Didier Drogba has revealed that he will not be leaving Chelsea for a rival Premier League club.

The Ivorian will leave the Blues after only one season back at Stamford Bridge, with North America touted as a possible destination.

However, Drogba has insisted that he will not remain in England.

When asked about whether he would consider a move to the MLS, he told reporters: "Yeah of course, but I am going to take a few days, few weeks to think about what is good for me next. But all I want to do is play.

"A few years ago when I left, I said it before, I would never play for another English team.

"No disrespect to them, there are some brilliant, fantastic teams in the Premier League, but my love for this club, I can't share it with another team."

Chelsea rounded off their Premier League campaign with victory over Sunderland on Sunday, which saw Drogba captain the side in his final appearance.
