Liverpool, Chelsea joined in Timo Werner race by Inter Milan?

Liverpool and Chelsea reportedly face competition from Italian giants Inter Milan for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

Inter Milan have joined the race to sign in-demand RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, according to a report.

Germany international Werner has been tipped to leave the Red Bull Arena at the end of the season after four seasons at the club.

Liverpool are widely considered to be the favourites to sign the 24-year-old, but they are believed to be facing competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that Inter are also now in the running for Werner's signature, with Antonio Conte actively on the lookout for a player to replace Lautaro Martinez.

The report indicates that Conte is a fan of Werner and sees him as an ideal partner for Romelu Lukaku, with his £51m release clause unlikely to prove a major hurdle.
