Nabil Fekir speaks out on Lyon future amid Liverpool rumours

Rumoured Liverpool and Chelsea target Nabil Fekir refuses to rule out a summer exit from Lyon, stating that he is not contracted to the French club for life.

Lyon attacker Nabil Fekir has insisted that he is free to discuss his future with president Jean-Michel Aulas whenever he wishes.

The 24-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool in recent weeks, while Premier League rivals Chelsea are also said to be monitoring the situation.

Fekir has remained coy when probed about his future plans in the past but, following talk that a £62m deal is already in place to join the Reds, the France international has admitted that departing Lyon this summer is not out of the question.

"The president told me, like he told everyone else when they signed their contracts, that we have the possibility to talk whenever I want to leave," he told L'Equipe.

"Nobody signs for life in a club. It doesn't work like that. But I don't have a free pass to leave. I have a contract until 2020. I'll let destiny handle the rest.

"I'm in Lyon for two more games and then we'll see. For now, there's nothing. The president trusts me and I feel good at Lyon."

Fekir has scored 22 goals in 38 games for Lyon this season from an attacking midfield position.
