Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas insists that there has been no contact with Liverpool despite speculation claiming that they have agreed terms to sign Nabil Fekir.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has denied reports that his side have agreed terms with Liverpool over the sale of Nabil Fekir.

Speculation emerged from France on Sunday that the two clubs had agreed a £62m deal to take Fekir to Anfield this summer, with that coming after reports that a clause in the 24-year-old's contract meant that he was free to leave should a suitable offer arrive.

However, Aulas insists that there has been no contact from Liverpool and also rubbished the claims that there is an agreement in place for Fekir to leave when the transfer window reopens.

When asked about the reports, Aulas told reporters: "No. If we had negotiated and signed [a deal], I would be the first to know.

"There hasn't been contact with Liverpool. I am a bit surprised by this story. I also want to say there was no agreement in Nabil's contract allowing him to leave."

Fekir, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Arsenal, has scored 22 goals across all competitions for Lyon this season.
