Report: Bayern Munich want Chelsea's Juan Mata

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola wants to sign Juan Mata from Chelsea in the summer, according to a report.

Bayern Munich are interested in signing Juan Mata from Chelsea at the end of the season, according to a report.

The 25-year-old Spain international has struggled to play regularly for Jose Mourinho's side this season and has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

The Mirror now claims that the midfielder is willing to stay on the Blues bench for the rest of the season in order to join Bayern in the summer.

Bayern coach Pep Guardiola is ready to offer a bid of £20m, but will not make any move this month as Mata is cup-tied and will not be able to play in the Champions League.

It has also been reported that Mata could head out to Atletico Madrid on loan this month to spend the rest of the campaign with the Spanish giants, with his father and agent having held talks with Chelsea's technical director Michael Emenalo.
