Report: 'No Chelsea deal agreed for Cesc Fabregas'

Spanish journalist Guillem Balague claims that Chelsea have not yet agreed a deal to sign Cesc Fabregas, contrary to earlier reports.

Cesc Fabregas has not yet agreed a deal to join Chelsea, according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.

The former Arsenal midfielder has been linked with a return to the Premier League, with Chelsea said to be the favourites to land his signature.

Speculation of a transfer heated up on Wednesday evening when reports emerged of Barcelona teammate Gerard Pique revealing that a deal worth €33m had been completed with an unnamed club.

However, Balague tweeted on Wednesday night to dismiss Pique's comments, saying: "Cesc hasn't got a deal with Chelsea, it doesn't matter what Pique or others say. Not yet. Conversations taking place but NO DEAL YET. Not yet."

Fabregas rejoined Barcelona from Arsenal in 2011.
