Chelsea will offer German defender Antonio Rudiger a new contract, according to a report.

Chelsea are reportedly preparing to offer German defender Antonio Rudiger a new contract.

Rudiger joined Chelsea from Roma in 2017 and still has more than three years left to run on his current deal.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the Blues are planning to sit down with Rudiger's representatives to discuss fresh terms, which would see him increase his current £100,000-a-week pay packet.

Rudiger, who has been David Luiz's preferred partner in central defence this season, made 45 appearances for Chelsea last term, and has been an ever-present for Maurizio Sarri's team this term.

The 25-year-old started his professional career with Stuttgart before making the move to Italian giants Roma.

Chelsea will return to Europa League action with a clash against BATE Borisov on Thursday night.
