Head coach Thomas Tuchel reportedly demands that Chelsea officials successfully negotiate a new contract with Antonio Rudiger.

Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has reportedly demanded that club officials meet the demands of Antonio Rudiger.

The Germany international is yet to miss a single minute of Premier League or Champions League football this season, the only Blues player to achieve such a feat.

While the 28-year-old's game time highlights his importance to Tuchel, the centre-back has just under nine months remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.

According to The Express, Tuchel has called for fresh terms to be agreed with Rudiger as soon as possible.

The report suggests that little progress was made during recent negotiations, increasing the chances of Rudiger waiting until January to assess his wide array of options.

Ahead of potentially having the chance to sign the player on a free transfer, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur are all said to be monitoring the situation.
