Crewe Alexandra sign former Rotherham United goalkeeper

Crewe Alexandra complete the signing of former Rotherham United goalkeeper Scott Shearer on a two-year deal.

Former Rotherham United goalkeeper Scott Shearer has agreed to join Crewe Alexandra.

The 33-year-old was released by Rotherham at the end of the season after failing to make an appearance for the Millers since October.

However, the Scot has wasted little time in securing a new club after signing a two-year deal to remain in League One.

Shearer, who is keen to earn his coaching badges during his stay at Gresty Road, will compete with Ben Garratt for the number-one position.
