Tony Pulis praises squad's work ethic

Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis praises the work ethic of his squad after their 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has lauded his side's work ethic after their 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

Thomas Ince and Joe Ledley scored on their debuts for Palace, and do did Marouane Chamakh from the penalty spot.

The win means that Palace have taken 16 points from seven home fixtures under Pulis, and the former Stoke City boss has put the success down to his hard-working squad.

"We work very hard on certain things and you hope that they will pay dividends," he told reporters.

"The other thing is the group are a very, very good group of lads. They might not be the most gifted but my god do they work hard.

"It was difficult out there. It was very, very windy and the pitch dried up with the wind. It became a little bit bobbly and bumpy but they kept going and I'm very, very pleased."

Palace face Everton at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.
