Neil Warnock interested in "super" Ashley Cole

Neil Warnock admits that he would love to see the "super" Ashley Cole join Crystal Palace in January, but does not expect the move to happen.

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has revealed that he would love to sign Ashley Cole, but does not believe that a move will materialise.

Speculation has mounted that the Roma left-back is a target of Warnock next month, but the 33-year-old's agent quashed the rumours earlier today.

"I'd definitely have him," Warnock told the Croydon Advertiser.

"Absolutely, I'd have him tomorrow if I could. I don't think it will happen - but I would have him, I think he is super."

The former England international has endured a mixed spell in Italy following his summer move and has found himself benched for the Giallorossi's last four games in all competitions.
